Jacek Rabinski was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1956, where he studied classical guitar at The Music Lyceum from 1974 to 1979. In 1979, he began to study music at The Warsaw Music Academy "F. Chopin" under Marcin Zalewski. He graduated in 1983 to begin his career as a concert guitarist. In 1985 he moved to Germany. From 1985 to 1989 he studied composition at the "Hochschule der Künste Berlin" (now "Universität der Künste") under Prof. Witold Szalonek. He continues to live in Berlin as a freelance composer, guitarist, pianist and music educator. Rabinski has developed his own musical language which he calls ABSOLUTE TONALITY. By this he means tonal music in the purist senes of the term which solely utilises scale tones.
